Richard Matthews

Managing Director

Richard started working within early years  in 2010. In 2011 he started working towards his level 3 diploma for the children and young people‚Äôs workforce which he completed in 2012. Since finishing his level 3 he has enjoyed working with various children and their families. In October 2014, Richard and Clare (co-owner) opened Sunny Days Pre- School.

Richard regularly attends training sessions, is paediatric first aid trained and has specialist training in child protection. 

He has 2 children who have moved on to secondary school so has experienced the pleasures (and challenges) that parenting can bring! He enjoys working with children and enjoy the satisfaction of helping them develop.

Jade

Deputy Manager

Jade has a range of experience in early years. She became achieved her level 3 in childcare in 2011. Since then she has had experience working in private day nurseries and as a nanny. She enjoys working with children enabling them to learn and develop through play and has undertaken voluntary work within a school environment. 
Jade also holds a paediatric first aid certificate and is committed to her ongoing professional development attending regular training events.

Shannon

Early Years Play Worker (Qualified)

Shannon joined the team in January 2016, she has experience in working in early years settings and enjoys working with children. She holds a level 3 qualification in Early years. She has now embarked upon further training and has commenced her Foundation degree in Early years Education.


Shannon also holds a paediatric first aid certificate and is commited to her ongoing professional development attending regular training events

Louise

Early Year Play Worker (Unqualified)

Louise is a mum herself, she chose decided to enter into early years as she has a passion for working with children. Teaching is a keen interest to her and she is eager to develop her skills and knowledge.  She would like to gain more experience and embark on training in order to become a qualified play worker.
