Clare Matthews BA (Hons)

Managing Director

I first begun working with children when I left school embarking upon an apprenticeship as a nursery nurse in a private nursery. I gained my NVQ 3 in Early years Care and Education whilst working here. Since then I have continued my training in Early Years and now hold a BA (Hons) in Early Years. Education & Leadership in Practice. Sunny Days was established as a company in 2014 by both myself and my husband with our first setting opening in Ashford middlesex. I managed Ashford on a day to basis and was proud to achieve outstanding on our first ofsted inspection in 2017.  I continued to manage the Ashford setting  until we opened our second nursery in West Molesey in April 2018. I now manage West Molesey on a day to day basis.




Richard Matthews

Director
Richard begun working with children in 2006. He has achieved in Level 3 qualification in Early years. Richard held the Deputy Managers role at our Ashford setting until January 2018 where he took over the role of Manager on a day to day basis. Richard is permanently based at our Ashford branch but on occasions supports the West Molesey team.

Richard attends training on a regular basis to ensure his knowledge remains up to date. he is fully committed to his ongoing professional development both for personal and professional reasons. Richard holds a paediatric first aid qualification and has specialist training on child protection.

Clare

Managing Director

I have extensive experience in working with families and children including children with additional needs. I am also the settings special educational needs co-ordinator. I enjoy working closely with families and helping children to learn through play. I have worked in private nurseries, primary schools and for the past 10 years have been running my own early years settings. I work closely with our local authority and have been involved in consultations with the Department for Education. I have experience with working with training providers offering placements, support and mentoring to students to enable them to obtain their qualifications in Early Years within my setting. 


I attend regular training to ensure my knowledge remains current and i am commited to my ongoing professional development both for personal and professional reasons. 

I hold a pediatric first aid qualification and have specialist training in Child Protection. I am the Designated safeguarding lead and I am committed to ensuring all children are safe and protected from harm.

Tracey

Deputy Manager
Tracey joined the team in October 2017. She is fully qualified and holds her  Level 3 in Early years. Tracey attends regular training to ensure her knowledge remains current. As part of her desire commitment to her ongoing development tracey currently attends Kingston university each Wednesday through day release; she is studying to achieve her Foundation Degree in Early Years. She has substantial experience in managing a nursery. 

Tracey holds a paediatric first aid qualification and has specialist training in Child Protection. Tracey is our Deputy Safeguarding Lead and is  committed to ensuring all children are safe and protected from harm.


Tracey also has significant experience in supporting children with additional needs as is our setting SENCO.


Charmaine

Room Leader
Charmaine joined the team in January 2018. She is fully qualified and has achieved her L6 Degree in Early years. Charmaine has substantial experience in working with young children.

Rabia

Early Years Play Worker
Rabia joined the team in September 2017. She has a keen interest in working with children and would like to embark on further training to achieve a qualification in Early years.

Leanne

Early Years Play Worker
Leanne joined the team in January 2018. She has a keen interest in working with children and is currently embarking on further training to achieve her Level 3 qualification in Early years.

Holly

Early Years Play Worker
Holly joined the team in September 2017. She is qualified holding her L2 diploma in Early years. She has a keen interest in working with children and is currently embarking on further training to achieve her Level 3 qualification in Early years.

Natasha

Early Years Play Worker
Natasha joined the team in January 2018. She is fully qualified and has achieved her L3 qualification in Early years. Natasha has 20 years experience of working with children in a variety of early years settings.
