I first begun working with children when I left school embarking upon an apprenticeship as a nursery nurse in a private nursery. I gained my NVQ 3 in Early years Care and Education whilst working here. Since then I have continued my training in Early Years and now hold a BA (Hons) in Early Years. Education & Leadership in Practice. Sunny Days was established as a company in 2014 by both myself and my husband with our first setting opening in Ashford middlesex. I managed Ashford on a day to basis and was proud to achieve outstanding on our first ofsted inspection in 2017. I continued to manage the Ashford setting until we opened our second nursery in West Molesey in April 2018. I now manage West Molesey on a day to day basis.
I have extensive experience in working with families and children including children with additional needs. I am also the settings special educational needs co-ordinator. I enjoy working closely with families and helping children to learn through play. I have worked in private nurseries, primary schools and for the past 10 years have been running my own early years settings. I work closely with our local authority and have been involved in consultations with the Department for Education. I have experience with working with training providers offering placements, support and mentoring to students to enable them to obtain their qualifications in Early Years within my setting.
I attend regular training to ensure my knowledge remains current and i am commited to my ongoing professional development both for personal and professional reasons.
